Who blogs, and why?

I am not sure how this whole blogging thing is supposed to work, but here it goes anyway.

Maybe blogging will be a good outlet for me on a couple of levels: 1) I am on FB far too much during the day, and as a challenge from my 14 yr. old daughter, I am taking a "Spring Break" from FB to see if I can stay away from my social crack. ; and 2) I have seen through a friend of mines blogging that it can be fun, and entertaining to readers. I do not think of myself as entertaining by any means, but what the heck. I will at least get some thoughts out.

Today is Thursday, and I began my hiatus from FaceBook on Easter Sunday. I am pleased to say that so far so good. I am ashamed to admit that I have very briefly been on to check my Cafe, The Farmer's Market, to serve food that I had started before I accepted the challenge from my daughter. Her theory is that I would have so much more time in my day to get the things I wanted done, actually done.

A little bit about myself: I am a SAHM (stay at home mom), and have been for oh about the last 14 years. My husband and I have been married for almost 18 years, and I have not worked full time ever since we got married. Yes, I do appreciate the blessing of not having to work to help support my family!! Jeff and I have 2 very lovely daughters, Sara and Rebecca, and am heading into the teenage, and high school years with our younger daughter, Rebecca. Sara is 27, and will be married this coming October; but all of the wedding planning will be for another time; and I am sure there will be plenty to say!

So this first submission for my blogging is a test for me. Even if I get no comments, or shout outs, that is fine. I like writing this down and sending it out to the internet void world.

Join me if you choose, and say hello when you can.
